A little backstory. One day, I was feeling a little bit mopey and I just wanted to watch something comforting. I wracked my brain trying to think of a show my adult-self had recently watched that I might find joy in watching again, but I came up with nothing. My inner child, however was yelling pretty loudly and she wanted to watch David the Gnome. So I turned on the first episode and proceeded to sob through the first 3 minutes of it.
Because I love crafting and I am a tangible person, I thought I might try my hand at making a little gnomie buddy of my own to remind me of the poignant lessons in that short, but beautiful episode…and well, things just took off from there. My mom and sister joked that I am now the Jillian Jiggs of gnomes. Anyone remember that book? It’s such a cute story. Anyway, that’s how Li’l Nature Gnomie Homies were born!
Each gnomie is about 1.5”-2” tall. They are tiny little things. They are made out of polymer clay and each have their own nature-theme to them. They come with their own individual names and no two gnomies are alike! To get to know them even better, their name cards list two things that they love most in the world.
