Have you ever looked or felt like this? I have. In fact, this whole past week I’ve felt like that. There has been SO much stuff going on! Lots of things to do at work, lots of amazing ideas coming for CYS, moving across the country in August and all of the 9 bajillion details that go with that, trying to see as many people as we can before we leave, just to name a few things. I feel like my mind is in ten million places at once. There are times where I catch myself just sitting there staring into space because I have absolutely no idea where to start and we all know that staring into space doesn’t get you very far.
If there is one valuable thing that I have learned this week is – YOU HAVE GOT TO SCHEDULE IT! If it’s not somewhere visible well, out of sight, out of mind my friend. Write it down somewhere. Come up with some sort of system. I work from home and I really have to keep myself disciplined to stay focused, otherwise I would never get a single thing done.
So I make sure that I schedule everything down so that I never lose track of what I need to accomplish. Everyone has their own way of keeping track of things. My way is a notebook that I fill with all the things that I need to take care of, and as I complete them, I cross them off with a highlighter. I also like to use my calendar on my computer to keep track of all my important dates and functions, which is conveniently synced to my phone. This makes things so much easier when everything is right within reach.
So what are your big goals? Write down the steps you need to take to accomplish them and set a date. Make sure you see it every day and step by step start working toward your dream. If you have a system that has worked for you or a story on how you finally pulled yourself out of the chaos and want to share, please feel free to post below!
When you take the time to set yourself up for success, you are less likely to be feeling crazy and stressed and more likely to be looking blissful and relaxed like this gal.
